BLOCK MODULES

Concrete Block Modules

A typical single seat configuration consists of two 225mm wide hollow concrete Seat Block modules and two Step – Aisle Block modules.

Each Seat Block module has a mass of approx. 45kg. Each Step - Aisle Block module has a mass of approx. 35kg. (Minimum concrete strength 30MPa)

The Seat Block module configuration allows for the optional addition of a plastic bucket seat unit.

Colouration of the concrete modules is another option, to define seating layout arrangements and environmental requirements.

Construction
An earth embankment of gradient 1 in 3 (18.43 deg) is prepared in either a cut or fill environment.

A designed concrete nib upstand and footing is then constructed at the toe of the embankment. This will stop any potential ‘creep’ of the blocks down the embankment slope.

A precise 100mm mesh reinforced concrete base slab is poured from the embankment toe upward. This slab will provide the level platform on which the blocks will sit.

The Gladiator blocks can now be simply laid on the base slab from the embankment toe upward to suit the desired seating and step - aisle configuration.

Pedestrian walkways at the base and top of the embankment seating can also be constructed if required.

Voids in both seat and step – aisle block modules are suited to accommodate any service wiring or pipe ducting if required.
